In late 2021, a group of TTRPG enthusiasts began a conversation about bringing together all the friends they had made over the past several months onto some sort of digital platform in order to meet face-to-face, share stories, collaborate on projects, and above all else, play games together. As the talks progressed, those involved envisioned more than just a space to play games and meet new people, but to also highlight all the amazing creations and contributions those people had been making to the community. Soon thereafter, DICE was named and formed with some ideas for the future.
